PEEK was formed in the year 2000 as a response to calls from local parents who were concerned about the lack of opportunities and spaces for kids to play.
We began as the ‘Gallowgate and Calton Children’s Project’, funded by the Church of Scotland. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, expanding our reach and impact.
In 2009, we extended our services to new areas and broadened our age range to include individuals from 5 to 25 years old, rebranding as ‘Possibilities for East End Kids’. By 2013, our name evolved once more to ‘Possibilities for Each and Every Kid’ – reflecting our ever-increasing reach and our belief in the potential of each and every child.
For over 25 years, PEEK has been a trusted and well-respected presence in Glasgow’s communities. Our iconic red hoodie has become a symbol of connection and empowerment, as we’ve strived to foster a culture of care, creativity, and collaboration. #TEAMPEEK comprises people from all walks of life, dedicated to making a real difference.
Looking ahead, we remain rooted in our founding principle: local children, young people and families must be at the heart of everything we do. We hope you’ll join us as we continue to build possibilities for each and every kid.
